The end of the road....
It is the 15th October 2025 and I have just discovered that the links to the photo albums displayed on each blog entry do not work and will probably not have functioned for several years. Back in 2016 Google announced that they were dropping Picasa in favour of Google Photos with, in theory, unlimited storage. Some time after that Picassa was no longer supported and the smooth transition of photo editing, management and uploading to and incorporating in my blog pages ended. I had to engage in complicated workarounds wich is probably why my blogs trailed off despite lots of countries and places not yet documented. I did check at the time and things seemed to go smoothly, I assume that Google had some sort of redirect in place. The links now point to a non-existant web server and I would have to generate replacements which I am not convinced is worth it.
